Emulate the manner in which books are being displayed on Kindle devices and applications with the help of this easy-to-use piece of software
While many may argue, e-books have some advantages over traditional books. One of these high-points is their flexibility: they can be read on the PC or laptop when you’re at home, or on an e-reader, tablet or smartphone when you’re on the road. Thus, hundreds of books can be carried at the same time without feeling like you’re dragging rocks.
A parallax scrolling effect is a beautiful way to add depth to your designs and to really make your site stand out. Recently, I was inspired by this Webflow example of parallax scrolling, and wanted to implement something similar in Vue. This is what I came up with. Hello everyone, I need to be be able to use 'Parallax Previewer' an Apple developper app in order to view layered images using Apple Proprietary LSR format, on a macOS Yosemite. The current version of this app is 1.0.3 and it is supposed to work for macOS 10.10.5 Yosemite, my version, and the install worked but now it doesn't launch. It provides a live preview of 2D parallaxing in edit mode, allowing artist to see how various art assets align and overlap and ensure that the speed of motion matches their desired goal. It is fairly difficult to explain how it works without a visual representation, so I made a short video to describe what it’s all about. Kindle Previewer is a program that emulates the way e-book files are displayed on Kindle devices and applications. According to Amazon, the app goes hand in hand with an e-book creation tool and seeks to enable users to view how their books look like and if they need additional work done.
Apple provides a Parallax Previewer tool to conveniently preview layered app icons or layered images used for the Apple TV icons. This is just a quick experiment using the logo from my company Vital Co. Check the attachment for the full resolution (and much less horribly mangled) version.
The software has a clean interface that is easy to figure out, thanks to its intuitive layout. It can open file formats such as AZW, MOBI, PRC and even EPUB, despite the fact that Kindle e-readers don’t support this format.
The program lets you “rotate” the screen and change the font size. Furthermore, the app can emulate any of the available devices, such as Kindle, Kindle DX, Kindle for iPhone and Kindle for iPad. It’s also possible to choose a custom format, which frees up the interface’s edges and lets you stretch it to any size you want.
Kindle Previewer comes with a few extra buttons that enable you to get straight to the book’s cover, to the table of content or access the NCX view.
The software also comes with a set of keyboard shortcuts, so the mouse isn’t necessary to navigate the book. Thus, pressing the left and right arrow keys takes you to the previous and next pages, while the Ctrl+Left/Right key combination takes you to the nearby sections.
Apple Parallax Previewer
All in all, Kindle Previewer is a nice app with plenty of options. Inexperienced users should be able to quickly figure out how to work with this software.

According to a documentation page on the tvOS Developer Library, Apple TV developers will be able to add the iOS parallax effect to all artwork that requires layered images.
As first noted by Timothy Hatcher on Twitter and as described by Apple on the 'Creating Parallax Artwork' documentation page, the parallax artwork can be easily created using the Parallax Previewer application.
This app helps developers effortlessly assemble all the layers required for tvOS app icons and various other focusable UI elements within their app's interface.
Parallax artwork for Apple TV is required to have between two and five layers to create a proper sense of depth when the user brings it into focus.
The resulting parallax artwork is saved to an LSR image, an Apple proprietary file format, and once the layered image is exported using the Parallax Previewer app, it can be incorporated into the app's bundle using the procedure described on the 'Creating Parallax Artwork' documentation page.
Parallax artwork created for the Apple TV can be tested using the Parallax Previewer app
The Parallax Previewer utility can also be used to preview layered images or app icons created for Apple TV apps. The images can be animated using a mouse or a trackpad to preview them on your development machine before adding them to the final product.

As described by Apple in the Human Interface Guidelines for tvOS, 'Layered images are at the essence of the Apple TV user experience. In conjunction with the parallax effect, they produce a sense of realism and vigor that evokes a personal connection as people interact with content onscreen.'
